Name Giving ceremony is a very popular and beautiful
way in which a child of any age can be welcomed
into the family and close community. It is a time
when close family and friends come together to
welcome and celebrate the birth of a baby or welcome
adopted or stepchildren. |

recognises the new or renewed roles of parents.
In this ceremony parents can publicly share their
commitment, hopes and wishes for their child.
Family members such as grandparents, aunts/uncles
or specially chosen sponsors are given the opportunity
to declare their support for the child. |

| Specially
prepared certificates can be given to the child
and significant others in recognition of their
role in this ceremony. As there are no legalities
for this type of ceremony you may choose to have
your Name Giving Ceremony at any time. A Name
Giving Ceremony usually takes only around 20minutes,
but it can be as short or as lengthy as you prefer. |
